玉瀧寺閑栖　戸上明道師
「掬水月在手」が茶道の世界でよく掛けられる時期は、９月です。10月に掛けられることもあります。
現代語訳「水を掬えば月が手の中にある」
ふと水鉢の水を両手で掬うと、両手の掌の中に鮮やかに月が映っているではないか。
静かな心、無垢な心でいること、そうした心でいられる時に本質的なことに出会えること、そんなことを教えてくれる禅語です。

客間やリビングに飾って、お部屋の雰囲気をワンランク上にしたいですね。

Master Togami Meido of Gyokuryuuji 「kansei 」(a retired Zen monk)
In the world of tea ceremony, "Mizu wo kiku sureba tsukite ni ari" is often hung in September. It can also be hung in October.
Modern translation: "Mizu wo kiku eba tsukite ni ari" (If you scoop up water, you will see the moon in your hands)
If you scoop up the water in the water basin with both hands, you will see the moon reflected vividly in both palms.
This Zen phrase teaches us to have a quiet mind, a pure heart, and that when we have such a mind, we can encounter what is essential.

It would be great to display it in your guest room or living room to raise the atmosphere of the room to the next level.
