1925年頃に生産されていた、シカゴ拠点の大手メーカー、Lyon ＆Healy社 （現在はハープ専門ブランド）のWashburnブランド。東海岸のMartin社のライバル的存在で、廉価モデルを含めたウクレレやギター、バンジョー等多くの楽器を生産しました。

本器は非常に珍しいベル型のウクレレで、マホガニー単板を用いた名器です。ネックの作り込みやボディーの意匠を見ても当時のハンドクラフトの繊細さが伝わってきます。
